ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

The Alexander Technique allows us to rediscover the body’s stretch-reflex mechanism by fostering a heightened awareness of the way we react in various activities. In learning to inhibit our old habits, we discover new possibilities of movement. Releasing tensions, we gain an economy of motion. The result is a new sense of lightness and a physical confidence. Enlarging our awareness by opening ourselves up to our outer and inner perceptions affords us a greater freedom in our movements and in our thought.

Ideal for dancers, singers, musicians, performers, and anyone else committed to self-transformation. Instructor Clara Gibson Maxwell is a certified Alexander Technique International teacher.
